Our high‑performing Operating Room (OR) team is a collaborative, fast‑paced department. OR nurses work side‑by‑side with surgical teams to deliver safe, high‑quality care, supported by strong communication, teamwork, and a shared commitment to excellent patient outcomes. The OR features 12 procedure rooms and offers 8, 10, and 12‑hour shift options based on unit needs. Call requirements include one night per week and one weekend per month. Weekend and holiday rotations are established and mapped out annually, providing predictability and work‑life balance.

Requirements

  • Current Michigan RN license
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school
  • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
  • Documents patient care given.
  • Monitors, records, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
