Registered Nurse (RN) Outpatient Radiology (Part Time 7:30a-4p)
About The Position
The Registered Nurse in Outpatient Radiology assesses, diagnoses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care through outcome identification and evidence-based practice. As an integral member of the health care team, the nurse coordinates care and communicates and collaborates with healthcare team members, patients, and their families or significant others, while maintaining high standards of professional ethics. The role assists with radiology procedures, including drainages and biopsies. The schedule is 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., working three days one week and two days the next, for 20 hours per week. This is an on-site, part-time position at the Voorhees location.
Requirements
- Valid New Jersey RN license; approved licenses must be presented and maintained in accordance with the State of New Jersey Licensing Board.
- Knowledge of nursing skills, hospital practices, procedures, and standards.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate the efforts of a team of care providers.
- ACLS, PALS, and BLS are required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous procedural experience is preferred.
- Critical Care or Emergency Room experience is acceptable.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients and develop, implement, and evaluate plans of care.
- Administer, monitor, and document therapeutic interventions and regimes.
- Effectively manage rapidly changing situations.
- Participate in clinical decision-making.
- Educate patients and their families or responsible parties about disease processes, individual care needs, wellness, and safety.
- Delegate and monitor care rendered by other members of the nursing department and healthcare team.
- Demonstrate standard precautions and patient safety principles in practice.
- Participate in orientation, education, and development of the healthcare team.
- Identify and participate in performance improvement activities.
- Maintain professional and departmental competencies.
- Assist with radiology procedures, including drainages and biopsies.
