About The Position

Registered Nurse providing care on a Neuro/Stroke Progressive Care Unit (PCU). Assignments involve PCU-level patients across adolescent through geriatric populations, with neuro/stroke, respiratory, cardiac, and mixed medical needs. The unit uses continuous telemetry monitoring and requires titration of cardiac drips. Nurses are expected to perform their own vital sign and blood glucose checks. The position includes every-other-weekend work, floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed, and holiday work according to the assignment period. Call is not required. The unit has 36 beds and an average daily census of 30, with a 1:4 ratio. Systems used include Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR. Navy blue scrubs are required. No block scheduling is available. Up to seven days of requested time off may be submitted; Spring Break (April 4–12) is a blackout period. Full compliance is required to start on time; otherwise, the start may be pushed back two weeks because orientation occurs biweekly. Non-billable orientation hours depend on contract length (for example, 8 hours for an 8-week assignment and 19 hours for a 19-week assignment). Local candidates are accepted at the same rate. After candidate signing and confirmation, the manager has 48 hours to review the profile and confirmation for unit, schedule, and expertise fit. An Aya offer is available only when the candidate passes clinical review within the requested-time-off guidelines and meets facility requirements.
