About The Position

The Registered Nurse in the Nursing Float Pool provides high-quality, patient-centered direct and indirect care using the nursing process. The nurse coordinates care collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team and communicates the patient’s clinical condition as appropriate, responding promptly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response. The role requires knowledge of growth and development across the life span and the ability to provide age-appropriate care to the patient population served. The nurse also promotes the nursing profession and professional practice through collegial support and interactions. This position reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
Current nursing licensure in the State of Connecticut.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification upon hire or obtained within the new employee introductory orientation period, and maintained during employment.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification upon hire or obtained within the new employee introductory orientation period, and maintained during employment.
Maintain clinical competency during employment.
Effectively communicate verbally and in writing in English.
Basic computer skills.
