The Registered Nurse Float PII provides routine and complex nursing care in Medsurg, Telemetry, and Intermediate Care settings in accordance with patient treatment plans. The nurse also supports patient throughput and unit operations, including anticipating admission, discharge, and transfer needs; coordinating communication and discharge processes; planning and evaluating nursing care during an assigned shift; stewarding equipment and supplies; and participating in staffing and resourcing. The position promotes safe, evidence-based, high-quality care, follows healthcare laws and regulations, contributes to quality improvement and nursing research activities, and helps educate and train others. Unit-specific competencies are based on the patient-care needs of the assigned unit.
