Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry
About The Position
St. Francis Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide safe, direct patient care in its Telemetry Unit. The nurse uses the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and is accountable for the care provided to assigned patients. The role includes guiding patient and family education and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care. The nurse communicates with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms, and responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
Nice To Haves
- Previous acute care hospital experience.
- Ventilator management experience.
- Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe patient care using assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

- Direct and guide patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel.
- Maintain standards of care in the Telemetry Unit.
- Communicate with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in a patient's condition or response to treatment.
