About The Position

Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Neuro Step Down Unit at its Level II Trauma Center in Boise, Idaho. The position is located at the Regional Medical Center near I-184 and Curtis Road and works 12-hour day shifts.

The role provides care in a newly built, 17-bed step-down unit serving a high-acuity neurological patient population. The nurse will care for postoperative patients and patients with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, seizures, strokes, and other neurological disorders. The unit is equipped with advanced technology and equipment and is part of a Level I Comprehensive Stroke Center.

Requirements

• Hold an Idaho or multistate RN license; establish Idaho residency within six months if applicable.
• Hold BLS certification.
• Obtain ACLS and PALS certifications within designated timelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for neurological patients in a 17-bed step-down unit.
• Care for postoperative patients and patients with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, seizures, strokes, and other neurological disorders.
• Assess, stabilize, and monitor patients using advanced clinical skills.
• Deliver high-quality nursing care in a Level II Trauma Center and Level I Comprehensive Stroke Center.
