Registered Nurse - Stepdown
About The Position
The Midtown Stepdown Unit is a 19-bed specialty unit caring for patients who need close monitoring and advanced nursing care as they transition from critical illness toward recovery. Patient populations include cardiac and stroke patients, as well as patients with sepsis and complex medical-surgical conditions. Stepdown nurses recognize subtle changes, manage titratable drips, interpret cardiac rhythms, perform NIH Stroke Scale assessments, and provide high-level patient care. The unit offers a fast-paced environment for nurses who enjoy critical thinking and caring for higher-acuity patients outside a traditional ICU setting. The team emphasizes teamwork, engaged leadership, education, and shared governance.
Requirements
- Active Indiana RN license or valid compact RN license.
