About The Position

This is a contract Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse position at the Main Campus Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. The nurse may be floated to units J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department to care for the same patient population. The assignment lasts three months and pays $66.00–$70.00 per hour. The schedule is a rotating day/night shift: 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m. Shifts may vary. The facility will try to honor the traveler’s preferred shift but reserves the right to rotate shifts as needed to meet hospital operational needs. The traveler must work at least every other holiday. Applicants must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer; visa sponsorship or transfer is not available. ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments are completed during orientation, and acceptable scores on both are required to continue the assignment.

Requirements

At least 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty applying for.
AHA or client BLS certification.
ACLS certification.
NIHSS certification.
Permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license in hand.
COVID-19 vaccination; medical or religious exemptions only.
Flu vaccination; medical or religious exemptions only.
Authorization to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship or transfer is not available.
Acceptable score on the ECG rhythm recognition test completed during orientation.
Acceptable score on the SafeMedicate assessment completed during orientation.

Responsibilities

Provide Med/Surg Tele nursing care at the Main Campus Hospital.
Potentially float to units J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department to care for the same patient population.
Work at least every other holiday.
Complete the ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment during orientation and achieve acceptable scores to continue the assignment.
