About The Position

Provides professional nursing care and makes nursing care decisions appropriate to the age and condition of each patient, using the nursing process. Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to meet patient needs. Adheres to CVMC and departmental policies, procedures, and philosophy to deliver quality patient care, practices within the guidelines of the North Carolina State Nurse Practice Act, and abides by the CVMC Nursing Bylaws. The role is in the Mother-Baby / Birthing Center, PRN, on days from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current North Carolina RN license or licensure from a Nursing Compact State.
• BCLS certification. If the certification is not from the American Heart Association, obtain AHA certification within three months of employment.
• NRP certification within three months of employment.
• No previous experience is required; the incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job and able to assume call responsibilities as required within three months of employment.
