About The Position
The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role provides care to newborns and mothers during antepartum and postpartum periods in the Birthplace, while maintaining standards of care.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN license.
- BLS certification within 30 days and maintain current certification.
- NRP certification within 90 days and maintain current certification.
- Basic Fetal Monitoring upon hire, completed within 60 days of hire, and maintained current.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
- Direct and guide patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Birthplace.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in a patient's condition or response to treatment.
- Provide a safe environment for patients and visitors.
- Use the chain of command when necessary to ensure patient well-being and appropriate care for newborns and mothers during the antepartum and postpartum periods.
