About The Position

As a Mother Baby Nurse with Saint Alphonsus, you will provide clinical care in a safe, respectful environment, following evidence-based protocols while supporting patients’ individual needs and preferences. You will work as part of a busy mother/baby unit team and collaborate with providers, NICU, surgery, rapid response, and other Labor & Delivery staff. The role is based at the Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho, and nurses may be expected to take shifts in both the Boise and Nampa Family Maternity Units as needed. The unit has 12 private labor and delivery rooms, 2 operating rooms, 2 PACUs, 12 postpartum family suites, 5 ante/postpartum rooms, and a Level 3 NICU; it averages 1,200 deliveries each year.

Requirements

Idaho RN license before the start date; multistate license holders must notify the Idaho Board of Nursing within 60 days of residency.
Oregon RN license within 90 days of the start date.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS/HCP) certification.
ACLS and NRP certifications, or obtain them within six months of hire.
PALS, STABLE, and NCC-EFM certifications, or obtain them within one year of hire.
Strong critical-thinking skills and ability to adapt quickly to patient changes.
Compassionate and empathetic caregiving ability.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of inpatient RN experience is highly preferred.
