About The Position
Select Specialty Hospital–West Allis is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU care to chronic, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Registered Nurses play a central role in providing compassionate treatment throughout patients’ recovery. The position includes a thorough RN orientation program and opportunities for career growth, education, and clinical skill development.
Requirements
- Valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- BLS certification is required at hire.
- ACLS certification is required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities
- Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
- Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems.
- Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
- Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
- Demonstrate competence in Rapid Response and code events.
- Instruct and counsel patients and families.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
