Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry
About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Telemetry Unit delivers safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and directs and guides patient and family teaching as well as the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care. The RN is directly responsible and accountable for care provided to assigned patients. The role includes communicating with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms, and responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain it current.
- Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain it current.
Nice To Haves
- Previous acute care hospital experience.
- Ventilator management experience.
- Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Responsibilities

- Take direct responsibility and accountability for care given to assigned patients.

- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patients’ conditions or responses to treatment.
