Registered Nurse / MMH ICU
About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides high-quality, direct and indirect patient-centered care using the nursing process. The nurse coordinates care collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team and communicates the patient’s clinical condition, responding promptly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. The role requires knowledge of growth and development across the life span and the skills to provide age-appropriate care to the patient population served. The nurse supports the nursing profession and professional practice through collegial support and interactions, and reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
- Current Connecticut nursing licensure.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification upon hire or within the new employee introductory orientation period, maintained during employment.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification upon hire or within the new employee introductory orientation period, maintained during employment.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in English.
- Basic computer skills.
- Maintain clinical competency during employment.
