Requirements

Registered Nurse
At least 6 months experience in a behavioral health or hospital setting.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current North Carolina State Registered Nurse License
Current North Carolina Driver’s License
Current CPR Certification
CPI Certification

Nice To Haves

Clinical referral management experience or case management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Timely processing of inquiry/referral calls.
Responsible for reviewing incoming referrals from outside facilities for appropriate medical and clinical admission criteria.
Thorough and accurate documentation of calls.
Ensure all required clinical documentation is received for accepted patients to include medical records, legal paperwork, required lab results and testing, and any supporting documentation.
Develop professional relationships with behavioral health management teams at other facilities.
Receive nursing report for incoming patients from sending facilities.
Triage walk-in patients who arrive for assessment.
Bed management to include real-time bed availability, patients pending admission, patients pending discharge. Use clinical judgement to determine the most appropriate bed assignment.
Data entry of information in appropriate systems.
Verification of benefits for incoming patients.
Communication and collaboration with on-site Holly Hill staff and referring hospitals.
