About The Position

This role is a 13–26-week contract assignment; contract roles are designed with a strong focus on conversion to permanent employment, and extensions may be available based on business needs and mutual interest.

Under the general supervision of the Nurse Manager or designee, and following established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines, the Registered Nurse delivers care to patients throughout the life span, from neonatal through geriatric. The nurse plans and implements nursing care, documents nursing assessments, identifies and reports situations requiring further intervention, formulates and communicates goal-directed plans of care, and assures patient rights. The nurse provides professional nursing care in all areas covered by the Specialty Staffing Team within the assigned clinical division and performs duties in accordance with Tampa General Hospital’s mission, vision, and values.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
• BSN required.
• ACLS required.
• At least 1 year of experience in Med/Surg/Tele or ED required.

Nice To Haves

• National Certification preferred.
