About The Position

Roxbury Treatment Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, is a 112-bed behavioral health facility in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. It provides acute psychiatric, detoxification, and rehabilitation services for adults, as well as inpatient psychiatric care for adolescents ages 13–17. Registered Nurses work on an Adolescent, Adult Mental Health, or Substance Use Disorder unit and provide professional nursing care consistent with the facility’s philosophy and objectives. The role is full-time, with an 8-hour day shift from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., rotating every other weekend and holiday. Part-time work is also available, with some benefits and the sign-on bonus excluded. The Registered Nurse prescribes, coordinates, and delegates nursing care; completes nursing assessments and documents patient care and progress each shift; and facilitates safe medication administration, including patient education. The RN responds to crisis and emergency events to direct staff and ensure patient safety, attends Treatment Team meetings to support care-plan development, and oversees mental health technicians’ patient-care activities. The RN is accountable for assigned shift-based nursing activities and promotes professional nursing practice under the direction of the Nurse Manager or Director of Nursing. Charge Nurse responsibilities may also be assumed as required. The position offers full benefits and may qualify for a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 for a two-year commitment. Overtime and coverage of other shifts are available for interested employees.

Requirements

Current license to practice nursing in Pennsylvania, or eligibility to receive or renew a Pennsylvania nursing license.
Current CPR or BLS certification.

Responsibilities

Prescribe, coordinate, and delegate nursing care.
Complete nursing assessments and document patient care and progress each shift.
Facilitate medication administration in accordance with safe medication practices, including patient education.
Respond to crisis and emergency events, direct staff, and ensure patient safety.
Attend Treatment Team meetings to aid in developing patient care plans.
Oversee and direct mental health technicians in patient-care activities.
Be accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis.
Promote and enhance professional nursing practice on the unit under the direction of the Nurse Manager or Director of Nursing.
Assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as required.
