About The Position

Maintain and control all aspects of the facility. Responsible for keeping all facility clean.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent with previous experience in sanitation.
  • Able to follow instructions and operate all Sanitation equipment and Production equipment if required.
  • Able to lift up to 80 lb. & remain standing and/or walking for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Remove all boxes to box packer during production.
  • Remove trash, blood spill and debris from coolers, freezer and dock areas.
  • Scrub cooler floors daily.
  • Prepare sanitizer solution inside production room when needed (second shift job).
  • Clean out under dock levelers once per week.
  • Condensation walk through; wiping down any consideration this will be done through out your shift or upon request of Production Supervision. (this includes freezer)
  • The freezer entrance way needs to be cleared of any frost (this will be done once daily).
  • Handle all inedible functions (disposal, cleaning inedible area, smell, etc). All gray barrels will be filled completely full.
  • Assist Quality Assurance Technicians, when necessary. Help them on dispensing PPE at beginning of the shift and after each break.
  • Check and refill all soap dispensers and paper towels.
  • All outside area (parking lots…) will be check for cleanliness and clean as needed. All outside trash cans will be checked and emptied if needed (this includes cigarette buckets). This will be done once daily.
  • Outside area by the box packer will be washed down and pallets removed to correct area: This will be done once daily or as needed.
  • Both locker rooms will be cleared of any trash. This includes white coats to laundry pick up.
  • Clean and sanitize utensils and equipment as needed in the production room (after E.coli test…, Allergen change overs, and spice level changes).
  • Remove all soiled frocks and gloves as drums need to be removed once full and dropped off in designated areas.
  • The dry warehouse will have trash barrels emptied and trash picked up off floor daily.
  • Be sure that all chemicals are well labeled and properly stored (not in contact with food).
  • All bathrooms’ will be checked and all supplies, which are needed, will be replenished (papers, soap, etc.).
  • First shift will not leave until informing the second shift of any unfinished projects that must be completed.
  • Walk through all areas of production and storage. All plastic and other trash must be removed as needed.
  • Spot check all cooler floors and wipe down any spills. Blood, grease, water etc.
  • Condensation walk through will be done and all condensation will be wiped down.
  • Other duties as assigned.
