Registered Nurses are invited to join the team at Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies in Orlando, FL. The Women’s Triage Unit at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies (WPHWB) operates based on primary care model principles. As a Level III Perinatal Center, this unit provides a full spectrum of care for obstetrical and gynecological patients, utilizing tele-medicine for Psychiatry consults and Stroke Alert management. It serves as the receiving unit for all non-trauma emergent obstetrical ambulance patients and all transfers from other hospitals, which must be coordinated through the Orlando Regional Transfer Center in consultation with the Perinatology team. The Women's Triage Unit also offers comprehensive care for Obstetrical (OB) and Gynecological (GYN) outpatients who have been evaluated by a physician within the previous 24 hours and have an established treatment plan. If a patient requires physician evaluation at any time, they are transferred to the Women’s Triage Unit. Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies, located on the downtown Orlando Health campus, is part of the Orlando Health Women’s Institute.
