The Registered Nurse, Triage coordinates patient care requests by phone for all physicians and serves as a resource to staff. This role reviews all incoming faxes to the office, answers pharmacy calls and medication refill requests, coordinates physician orders (e.g., home health, hospice, hospital), handles emergency calls on a designated emergency line, and serves as a liaison between physicians and other facilities, and between physicians and patients.

Requirements

Active RN license in the state of LA required
BLS CPR required
Phone triage experience required

Nice To Haves

ONS/OCN highly preferred
Oncology/Infusion nursing experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

Coordinate patient care requests by phone for all physicians and serve as a resource to staff.
Review all incoming faxes to the office.
Answer pharmacy calls and medication refill requests.
Coordinate physician orders (i.e., home health, hospice, hospital, etc).
Handle emergency calls on the designated emergency line.
Serve as liaison between physician and other facilities and between physician and patient.
Triage patient calls.
Manage Oral Chemotherapy and Medication Orders.
Coordinate patient care and documents.
Perform Nursing Duties.
