The role also supports medication refills, patient instructions, appointments, patient requests and questions, provider follow-up directives, paperwork, and phone and walk-in triage. The RN determines patient disposition using established triage protocols and works with interdisciplinary teams to identify appropriate follow-up for triaged patients. Participation in professional continuing education required for licensure is expected. Duties may evolve, and additional tasks may be assigned as needed.
