About The Position
This is a Full Time position in the Trauma Neuro ICU at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. The schedule is for Weekend Option, 7:00PM-7:30AM, Friday and Saturday nights plus one additional shift per week, with rotating holidays.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
- Acute care experience required
Nice To Haves
- Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Recent ICU experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Manage advanced neurological and hemodynamic monitoring systems (e.g., ICP/EVDs).
- Act as a critical thinker and first responder in high-acuity, rapidly changing patient situations.
- Collaborate with Trauma Surgeons, Neurosurgeons, and Intensivists to execute complex care plans.
- Deliver life-sustaining treatments, including mechanical ventilation, vasoactive infusions, and advanced surgical recovery.
- Provide empathetic family advocacy and education during critical, life-altering diagnoses.
