About The Position

This is a travel temporary assignment for a Registered Nurse specializing in Telemetry (Tele) care in Olathe, KS. The assignment is for 13 weeks, with a start date of 10/11/2026. The role involves providing direct nursing care for telemetry patients in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting, focusing on continuous cardiac monitoring and rapid response to arrhythmias. The position requires 12-hour night shifts, three nights per week, with a weekly pay range of $1,977–$2,055. This assignment is managed by Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse license in Kansas (KS RN) and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry experience.
  • Experience with cardiac drips (e.g., heparin, Lasix, Cardizem) and initiation of Tikosyn/Sotalol.
  • Experience with TR Band management post-procedure.
  • Proficiency with EPIC or similar EMR; able to document accurately and timely.
  • Ability to work 12-hour night shifts; weekend rotation every other weekend; holiday coverage as needed per unit requirements.
  • Floating to all acute care units as needed.
  • Credentialing tasks (CBC, DS, and required labs) to be completed within 72 hours of offer acceptance.
  • RN degree; ongoing professional development as required for Telemetry practice.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care for telemetry patients, including continuous cardiac monitoring, rhythm assessment, and rapid response to arrhythmias.
  • Administer prescribed medications and manage cardiac drips per unit protocols, including agents such as heparin, Lasix, and Cardizem; participate in initiation of Tikosyn or Sotalol as ordered.
  • Assist with post-procedure TR Band management and monitor for related complications.
  • Document care and patient status in the EPIC electronic medical record; communicate changes to the cardiology team and other care partners.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan care, educate patients and families, and support discharge planning as appropriate.
  • Maintain flexibility to float to other acute care units as assigned and comply with unit policies and safety standards.
