About The Position

The Registered Nurse - Technical Instructor for CNA's plays a critical role in shaping the next generation of Certified Nursing Assistants by delivering comprehensive, hands-on technical training. This position is responsible for ensuring that CNA students acquire the essential clinical skills and knowledge required to provide high-quality patient care in various healthcare settings. The instructor will develop and implement effective teaching strategies that align with current healthcare standards and regulatory requirements. By fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment, the instructor helps students build confidence and competence in their practical abilities. Ultimately, this role contributes to improving patient outcomes by preparing well-trained CNAs who are ready to meet the demands of the healthcare industry.

Requirements

  • Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States.
  • Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in acute care or long-term care settings.
  • Experience in teaching, training, or mentoring healthcare staff or students.
  • Strong knowledge of CNA scope of practice, clinical procedures, and healthcare regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a CNA instructor or in a similar educational role.
  • Certification in nursing education or adult learning principles.
  • Familiarity with simulation-based training and educational technology.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations.
  • Additional certifications related to patient care or healthcare education.

Responsibilities

  • Design, prepare, and deliver technical instruction and practical demonstrations to CNA students, focusing on essential nursing assistant skills.
  • Evaluate student performance through practical assessments, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support skill development.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare regulations, best practices, and certification requirements to ensure curriculum compliance.
  • Collaborate with academic and clinical staff to coordinate training schedules and clinical placements for students.
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with institutional and accreditation standards.
