About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor for Neuroscience TeleStroke will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process. This role involves delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Utilizing evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills, the RN Supervisor will lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. The Telestroke RN works collaboratively with the medical team to coordinate appropriate care for acute stroke patients via virtual care. This is a fully remote position that cares for the acute stroke population in the Greater Charlotte Market, with the ability to deploy to a local Atrium Facility if needed.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • At least 5 years of RN experience
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • NIHSS certification
  • BSN
  • Experience in critical care, emergency services, and/or care of acute stroke patients

  • Previous leadership experience preferred
  • Ability to flex hours to support the night shift team
