Requirements

• Three years as a Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Four years of professional nursing experience providing care and treatment services consistent with those needed for individuals with a mental or physical injury or illness and/or a developmental disability.
• Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
• All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.
• Submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Review nursing services and support resident advocacy across care areas
• Mentor staff, promote teamwork, and provide daily guidance to nursing personnel
• Share information with staff, families, and administrators as needed
• Maintain reports, evaluations, and documentation related to nursing operations
• Participate in Nursing and Facility Performance Improvement activities, provide ongoing education, and encourage employee involvement
• Take part in performance activities and help strengthen facility practices
