About The Position
Laurel Oaks Behavioral Health Center is a 118-bed acute psychiatric hospital and residential treatment center serving children and adolescents ages four through eighteen. The facility also houses New Day Academy, a state-supported, year-round K–12 school with vocational opportunities, and employs approximately 195 staff members. The Registered Nurse House Supervisor directs staff and provides nursing care to pediatric psychiatric patients using the nursing process. The position is scheduled for day shift, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with rotating weekends.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- A diploma or associate degree in nursing is required.
- Current status in good standing as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alabama.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
- Two years of psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
Responsibilities
