Requirements

Three years as a Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
Four years of professional nursing experience providing care and treatment services consistent with those needed for individuals with a mental or physical injury or illness and/or a developmental disability.
Possess active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
Must be able to perform essential job functions.
Satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

Responsibilities

Develop treatment plans, monitor nursing services, and evaluate clinical needs for assigned individuals
Guide non-professional nursing staff, assign responsibilities, and oversee completion of care tasks
Ensure nursing services meet policies, regulations, professional standards, and quality expectations
Participate in staff education, review procedures, and assist with clinical instruction and development
Monitor infection control, review health concerns, and evaluate safety practices across assigned areas
Maintain clear communication with physicians, families, team members, and other nursing supervisors
