About The Position

This role involves participating in a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary, outcome-oriented treatment team approach to resident care. The nurse will assess residents' needs for PRN medication, administer prescribed medications and treatments, and assist with ordering and preparing drugs.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
• Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience and 0-2 years of leadership / management experience, required.

Nice To Haves

• Emergency Department experience, highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary, outcome oriented, treatment team approach to resident care.
• Evaluates and plans for individual resident treatment programs.
• Participates in multi-disciplinary treatment team in order to plan, evaluate, and revise the Recovery Plan.
• Provides input regarding relevant medical issues and interventions in the formulation of the Recovery Plan.
• Encourages resident interactions.
• Reviews residents' response to medication and reports to the physician on a regular schedule.
• Assesses residents need for PRN medication; administers prescribed medication and treatment.
• Assists supervisor in ordering, preparing, and administering prescribed drugs.
