About The Position

The registered nurse (RN) plans, coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served in the Emergency Department. The RN ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with departmental standards of care. The RN demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy and goals of the assigned unit and the organization. They remain flexible to changing systems - are expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practices, and treat staff, physicians, patients and families with consideration and respect. The Emergency Department is a Level IV Trauma Center and a Level II Stroke Center, with 12-hour shifts and 9 beds.

Requirements

  • Current state RN license
  • Bachelor's degree or Associate degree from an accredited nursing school
  • ACLS, BCLS, PALS
  • NIHSS within 90 days of hire

  • 3-5 years experience preferred
