Registered Nurse Shift Manager (RN) - Med Surg
About The Position
The Registered Nurse Shift Manager coordinates staff services for patients during the designated shift, using the nursing process and organizational and leadership skills. The manager ensures patient care is appropriate to the ages and developmental levels of the patients served. The role assesses unit staffing needs and collaborates with the staffing coordinator, Nurse Director, and Administrative Nursing Supervisor to ensure patient needs are met. The position is part-time, works nights, and is in the 3 South/Telemetry department. It reports to the Director of Patient Care Services.
Requirements
- Three to five years of acute care experience or equivalent.
- RN skills appropriate to the designated unit.
- Current California RN license.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Current PALS certification.
