About The Position

The Registered Nurse Senior in Urgent Care South evaluates and manages patient needs, plans care using physician protocols and professional judgment, and notifies physicians about patient status according to urgency. The role includes identifying and evaluating needs through telephone triage, administering and documenting medications, responding to emergencies, educating patients and families, assisting with patient flow, and assisting physicians with medical procedures as needed. The nurse is accountable for professional practice and exercises sound judgment to support quality patient care.

Requirements

• Current Florida license as a Registered Nurse.
• One or more years of comprehensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patient needs.
• Plan patient care using physician protocols and professional judgment.
• Notify physicians of patient status based on urgency.
• Identify and evaluate patient needs through telephone triage.
• Administer medications, including injections and IVs, and document medications given or prescribed by the ordering physician as required by specialty.
• Recognize and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Identify patient and family education needs and provide instruction.
• Practice nursing skills in accordance with licensure and Clinic P+P, demonstrating responsibility and accountability for professional practice.
• Exercise good judgment in decision-making to ensure quality patient care outcomes.
• Assist with patient flow and assist physicians with medical procedures as needed.
