Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room Ortho FT
About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center provides and coordinates comprehensive patient care through the nursing process. The RN delivers safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures, using evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills. The role contributes to creating the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum of care. Carolinas Medical Center is Atrium Health’s flagship hospital, the region’s only Level 1 trauma center, a Magnet-designated hospital, and an approved transplant center for heart, kidney, pancreas, and liver. It is also an Academic Medical Center Teaching Hospital. The position is full-time, scheduled for 36 hours per week on a first shift from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. A sign-on bonus may be available to eligible applicants who have not received a company sign-on bonus for another role within the previous 24 months.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.

- Previous Operating Room experience is strongly preferred.
