Registered Nurse (RN) – CVICU
About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides and coordinates comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The RN uses evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and skilled communication to help create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. The role is on the 16-bed Cardiovascular ICU at Atrium Health Pineville, caring for patients requiring specialized cardiovascular and critical care. The unit treats post-operative CABG and valve patients, advanced heart failure patients, and patients receiving care related to STEMI, EKOS, post-Inari procedures, and ECMO cannulation. Available therapies and equipment include Swan-Ganz catheters, Impella, IABP, and extended therapy dialysis with Tablo. The position is full time, with three 12-hour night shifts per week and holiday and weekend rotations.
