Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department
About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department provides and coordinates comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The RN uses evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassionate care, and skilled communication to help create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. Atrium Health Stanly Emergency Department provides 24-hour emergency medical services to Stanly County and surrounding communities, caring for patients of all ages. The department’s staff includes physicians board-certified in emergency medicine.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
- At least 6 months of RN experience; this position is not for new graduates.
- A Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of hire.
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of inpatient RN experience preferred.
