Registered Nurse (RN) PACU Part Time
About The Position
Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking an experienced Perianesthesia (PACU) Registered Nurse. The role covers pre- and post-operative care, including Phase 1 and Phase 2. It is part-time, with two 12-hour shifts covering hours from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., plus some on-call night, weekend, and holiday requirements. Inova Alexandria Hospital is a 318-bed community hospital offering a full range of healthcare services. It is designated a Magnet hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and has received national recognition for healthcare excellence. Its operating room has 11 surgical suites and supports specialties including orthopedics, sports medicine, spine, general surgery, ENT, gynecology, urology, plastics, vascular, neurosurgery, podiatry, and maxillofacial surgery.
Requirements
- At least one year of critical care (ICU or ED) or PACU RN experience.
- BSN from an accredited school of nursing; nurses with an Associate’s Degree (ADN) must complete a BSN within five years of their start date.
- RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- BLS healthcare provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required at hire.
- Complete ACLS and PALS within the first 90 days.
