About The Position

The Registered Nurse works in the 33-bed PACU unit at Riddle Hospital, caring for the post-anesthesia care patient population as part of an interdisciplinary team. The nurse contributes to patients’ experience through their care and treatment. The role is part-time, scheduled for 24 hours per week across three 8-hour shifts from 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The nurse must be within 30 minutes of Riddle Hospital for on-call coverage, which includes approximately two weeknights per month from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. and one 24-hour weekend per month.

The role offers opportunities to participate in hospital and system-wide nursing committees, unit councils, evidence-based research projects, staff precepting, and the Clinical Ladder program. Tuition reimbursement of up to $6,000 per year is available based on full- or part-time status. Position-specific benefits include up to 200 hours of paid time off per year based on employment status, employee discounts, and free employee parking.

Requirements

• At least one year of recent Critical Care (ICU/ED) or PACU Nurse experience.
• RN diploma or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).
• Pennsylvania RN license or a multi-state license verified in an approved Nursing Licensure Compact state.
• ACLS certification.
• Be within 30 minutes of Riddle Hospital for on-call requirements.

Nice To Haves

• One year of recent PACU Nurse experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Provider BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
