About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. Registered Nurses provide compassionate care and treatment to patients throughout their recovery. The position is based in Evansville, Indiana, and is full-time, with day and night shifts open. Compensation is up to $50.25 per hour, with competitive weekend shift differentials, and a $15,000 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

• Valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
• Conduct initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems.
• Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Demonstrate competence in rapid response and code events.
• Instruct and counsel patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
