About The Position

Helen M. Simpson Rehabilitation Hospital, a partnership between UPMC and Select Medical, is hiring a Registered Nurse for its inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, near UPMC Pinnacle Community Osteopathic Hospital. The hospital provides care for individuals facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges related to brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputations, and multiple traumas. The schedule is listed as full-time, 7 p.m.–7:30 a.m., with night-shift and weekend differentials. Compensation is $40.12–$54.00 per hour, based on years of experience, and a $15,000 sign-on bonus is offered. Requirements

Valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license.
BLS certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

Receive admissions and/or transfers.
Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
Document patient care accurately and promptly using EPIC.
Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
Instruct and counsel patients and families.
