About The Position

Provide, promote, and maintain quality patient care during diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures through education, standards of practice, professional growth, and collaboration with other multidisciplinary health care providers.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Nursing required.
• Monitor experience or EKG course completion required.
• A valid Permanent Multi-State RN License from the state in which the applicant resides is required. Applicants holding an RN license from another Compact state must apply for and obtain a Multi-State RN License from their state of residence within 30 days.
• American Heart Association BLS CPR required, to be obtained within 7 days of hire.
• American Heart Association ACLS and PALS, CPI, and NIHSS required within the orientation period.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in acute care, critical care, or an emergency department preferred.
• ENPC, TNCC, or CEN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiates and documents a written plan of care within the specified timeframe.
• Performs patient interventions completely and proficiently and demonstrates age-specific competency for the population of patients served.
• Provides appropriate treatment in emergency situations as they arise.
• Verifies orders for accuracy during hospitalization, including medication reconciliation, appropriate scheduling of tests and/or procedures, pre-op data, and consent forms.
• Follows medication and IV Therapy policies, including patient identification, medication understanding and administration, and recognizing and reporting interactions 100% of the time.
• Appropriately monitors first-dose medications for adverse reactions.
• Performs related duties as required.
