About The Position

Cantex is seeking a Registered Nurse to participate in and oversee patient care services consistent with accepted standards and the attending physician’s orders. The nurse observes, assesses, and reports patient conditions and changes, and documents care in accordance with Cantex clinical policies and procedures and applicable state and federal guidelines. The role includes electronic medical record documentation related to patient assessment, evaluation, and changes in condition; administering prescribed medications and treatments; receiving, transcribing, and carrying out physicians’ orders; and evaluating and implementing patient care plans. The Registered Nurse also directs, monitors, and coordinates subordinate staff to support timely, quality patient care, and ensures Patient Care Management Systems are routinely covered in in-service training and incorporated into care delivery. This is a full-time overnight position at Skilled Nursing at Laurel Court in Alvin, Texas, with an available shift of 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. The posted shift differential is $0.50. Requirements

Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.

Responsibilities

Document patient care in accordance with Cantex clinical policies and procedures and state and federal guidelines and regulations.
Complete electronic medical record documentation related to patient assessment, evaluation, and changes in condition.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, as applicable.
Receive, transcribe, and execute physicians’ orders.
Evaluate and implement patient care plans.
Direct, monitor, and coordinate subordinate staff to ensure timely delivery of quality patient care.
Ensure Patient Care Management Systems are routinely included in in-service training and incorporated into patient care delivery.
