Registered Nurse (RN) - Full-Time Day Shift
About The Position
Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. Registered Nurses provide compassionate care and treatment to patients through vulnerable and challenging stages of recovery. The role is based in Des Moines, Iowa, and is full-time, working day shifts of 12 hours. Compensation is $37.00–$49.80, with competitive shift differentials for nights and weekends. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is offered, and new graduates are welcome to apply. Requirements
- Valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- BLS certification required at hire.
- ACLS certification required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities
- Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
- Conduct initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems.
- Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
- Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
- Demonstrate competence in rapid response and code events.
- Instruct and counsel patients and families.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
