About The Position
Red Cliffs Health and Rehab is a skilled nursing facility in St. George, Utah, providing long-term and rehabilitation care. The facility is expanding its nursing team and is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care to residents, including geriatric patients who require 24/7 care. This is a part-time position with 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, one to two days per week. The facility offers a supportive team environment and opportunities to grow as a nurse.
Requirements
- RN license in good standing.
- Effective communication skills.
- Willingness to learn local, state, and federal laws and regulations regarding long-term care.
Responsibilities
- Order medications, equipment, and supplies as prescribed.
- Prepare and administer treatments and medications as ordered by the physician.
- Notify the resident’s physician and/or family members when the resident’s condition changes.
- Provide professional nursing services such as tube feedings, suction, catheterization, dressing changes, packs, and irrigations as necessary.
- Continuously observe and monitor seriously ill residents.
- Advocate for residents and ensure other healthcare team members provide care according to the resident’s care plan and personal wishes.
- Complete necessary charting accurately and in a timely manner.
