Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Telemetry Stepdown
About The Position
St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Registered Nurse for its TCU 4NW Cardiac Telemetry Stepdown Unit, a 36-bed unit located at Florence Hospital. The licensed registered nurse is responsible and accountable for providing evidence-based clinical care to designated patients using the nursing process. This includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care in accordance with ethical and cultural codes and established nursing practice standards, while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient outcomes. The nurse delegates tasks appropriately to licensed and unlicensed healthcare team members and demonstrates respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy toward patients, families, visitors, and coworkers regardless of cultural background. This is a part-time role scheduled for 24 hours per week on the day shift, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Hold a license to practice nursing in the state where work is performed.
- If eligible, hold a Compact (multi-state) License in the primary state of residence.
- Meet contact-hour requirements for licensure, including all state-required courses.
- Have an educational focus that supports nursing practice in the assigned clinical area.
- Demonstrate knowledge of nursing theory, clinical practice standards, procedures, and policies.
- Demonstrate competence in mathematical calculations associated with medication administration.
- Be competent to independently perform safe nursing skills and procedures.
- Successfully complete preceptorship and orientation to the facility and clinical area.
- Be able to critically think and problem-solve in routine and emergency situations.
