The Registered Nurse provides nursing care to assigned patients in the ICU, a 24-bed critical care unit that includes ICU and PCU services. The nurse evaluates patients and plans, implements, and documents care; performs patient tests; and administers medications within the RN scope of practice. The role serves a diverse population with complex medical and surgical conditions, including sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac emergencies, neurological conditions, and multisystem organ failure. The position offers experience with advanced monitoring and complex treatments, including mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, vasoactive and titratable medications, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), and advanced life-support interventions. Nurses collaborate with intensivists, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, pharmacy, PT/OT, and other interdisciplinary team members, while receiving support from experienced critical care nurses and leadership. The role supports professional growth through opportunities for specialty certifications, advanced critical care training, precepting, professional development, and the Clinical Ladder Program. The work schedule is full-time nights, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with every third weekend and a holiday rotation.
