About The Position

The Clinical Nurse is a registered nurse who partners with and advocates for patients, families, and significant others, providing physical, emotional, and spiritual support that impacts patient outcomes in a safe environment. The RN performs a versatile role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence and autonomy in nursing practice. Using the nursing process and evidence-based principles, the RN cares for a diverse caseload of patients within the department's scope of service. The RN serves as a guide, healer, collaborator, teacher, leader, and sentry, and collaborates with and guides care delivered by the interprofessional team. The RN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, the Nursing Code of Ethics, and applicable regulatory standards. This position is in the Progressive Care Unit at Atrium Medical Center, with a shift listed as 0700–1930 and full-time status of 72 hours per pay period.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid Ohio RN license.
• Current CPR certification at the time of hire.
• Able to multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
