About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Working under the supervision of Charge Nurse(s), the RN provides patient education and activities within their competencies and education. The role requires excellent communication and critical-thinking skills to support optimal patient outcomes.

This is a part-time weekend position with four hours on Saturday and four hours on Sunday. The split-shift schedule is 0800–1000 and 1700–1900 on both days.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Have and maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse within the state of employment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
• Must reside in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of one year of clinic experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessing and planning individual treatment programs, consulting with Charge Nurse(s) and other staff as necessary.
• Implement medical plans by administering medications, obtaining diagnostic tests, and assisting with medical or minor surgical procedures as needed.
• Count controlled substances and implement clinical and technical aspects of care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Document nursing encounters using SOAP charting as required by policy.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings and training.
• Communicate information to nursing staff, physicians, health care unit supervisory personnel, or other staff as necessary.
• Provide patient education and activities in accordance with competencies and education.
