About The Position

Responsible for implementing exercise regimens and educating cardiac patients. Organizes and teaches educational classes to enhance risk factor modification, supervises exercise therapy, and ensures sound principles of cardiovascular exercise training are followed. Assists other HeartLife Team members in managing patient care and services. This is a PRN position with a requirement of 24 hours over a 6-week period/schedule, working day shift at Greer Medical Campus in the Heartlife department at Greer Memorial Hospital.

Requirements

Associate degree in Nursing.
At least one year of work experience.
Current RN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State, or a license to practice as an RN in the state where the team member works.
BLS Certification.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
Three years of work experience.
ACLS Certification.

Responsibilities

Coordinate each patient's individualized clinical plan of care.
Monitor patients for disproportionate responses to their clinical course, including medications, exercise training, and nutrition.
Perform exercises with patients and demonstrate correct knowledge of exercise principles.
Provide care to patients who develop cardiac problems during activity.
Coordinate interdisciplinary care with HeartLife Team members.
Manage clinical equipment used in patient care.
Contact patients by telephone when they are absent or after discharge to provide education.
Coordinate clinical outcomes for all patients.
Perform other duties as assigned.
