About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital Greensboro is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU care to chronic, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Registered Nurses provide compassionate care and treatment to patients throughout their recovery. The position is located on the 5th floor of Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina, and is full-time on the day shift, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Compensation is $39.38 to $53.00 per hour, based on experience; competitive differentials are available for nights and weekends. Requirements

Valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license.
BLS certification required at hire.
ACLS certification required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
Complete timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems.
Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
Demonstrate competence in rapid response and code events.
Instruct and counsel patients and families.
Perform other duties as assigned.
